Barely one year after its establishment, Eagle Radio Bauchi has been recognized by the Bauchi State Command of the Nigerian Police Force for its contributions for the promotion of peace and unity in the state.
The award was presented to the General Manager of Eagle Radio Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Bello by the state Police commissioner, CP Awwal Musa Muhammad in a colourful 2024 End of Year Party and Award Dinner, held at the police headquarters Bauchi.
Speaking at the event, Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed commended the Police and other security outfits in the state for making Bauchi one of the safest states in Nigeria.
Governor Muhammad who pledged not to politicized security matters in the state, assured his readiness to sustain his support to the police in order to enhance the security of lives and property of the citizenry.
Earlier, the state commissioner of police CP Awwal Musa Muhammad, outlined the achievements of his administration during the period under review.
CP Awwal Musa disclosed that with support from sister security agencies, a total of 2,322 suspects were charged to court while 30 cases are under investigation.
He said the command was able to recover 23 rifles, 5 pistols, 746 Live ammunition and over 100 cartridges.
The Police Commissioner who pledged to build upon their achievements, thanked the people of the state for their support to the police and urged them to sustain the spirit.
The state Director State Security Services and the Emir of Misau Alhaji Ahmed Suleman were among dignitaries who presented goodwill messages at the event.
